Northern Coast Halloween Events in 2019

1) Connecticut – Ballet Spooktacular

Ballet Spooktacular is a lively Halloween ballet showcasing special performances in glowing costumes and lighting effects that takes place at the Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center every year. This family-friendly theatrical event allows children of all ages to come dressed up for trick-or-treat while enjoying the show. 

This year’s performances include Frolicking Fossils (based on Saint-Saëns’ Carnival of the Animals), Bugs and ButterfliesB (an eerie dance from Mendelssohn’s A Midsummer’s Night Dream), the haunting Halloween Waltz and The Sorcerer’s Apprentice. One of the highlights of the show is Dancing Bones, a performance with life-sized illuminated skeletons.

2) Massachusetts – The 5th Annual Titanic Masquerade – Pier Pressure Boston Halloween Party

Ghosts and ghouls haunt the Titanic party boat, gliding across the dingy waters near Boston skyline in this DJ party yacht. The Titanic Masquerade is a mega dance party where you can groove to the creepy monster mash up of Boston’s best DJs. So if you really want to enjoy the nightlife this time, the Titanic Masquerade is one of the best Halloween events in 2019 in which you should put on your agenda.

3) New York – Great Jack O’Lantern Blaze

Get ready to be blind sighted by the 7000+ blazing jack o’lanterns hovering above and around you in New York’s most awaited Halloween fest. The Great Jack O’Lantern Blaze is a spectacular pumpkin display event at the Van Cortlandt Manor.

This year, there’s an all-new Museum of Pumpkin Art, where renowned paintings are recreated with gourds – a must-see if you’re an art lover or just like to ogle at those intricately carved pumpkins. The Pumpkin Carousel and Windmill along with the 25 foot-tall jack-o-lantern Statue of Liberty are also attractions worth checking out.

Along with ogling at creative pumpkin displays, you can also engage in stargazing events at the Pumpkin planetarium. There’s a grand finale surprise – if you’re lucky, you can catch a glimpse of the Headless Horseman of Sleepy Hallow!

1) Maryland – Field of Screams

Jeepers Creepers! This place isn’t for the faint hearted! Four haunted locations complete with blood, gore, axes and white-robed women. If you are feeling up for it, explore the cold dark trails of the campground near the slaughterhouse and try to come out unshaken! But we’re sure that there’s no escaping the real darkness in the Field of Screams!

South Coast Halloween events in 2019

1) Georgia – Fright Fest at Six Flags Over Georgia Amusement Park

Ride with the devil at the Six Flags Over Georgia theme park this Halloween! The Fright Fest is an October special event with many new scare rides and monster stage shows. Great for children of various age groups, the park has something for everyone, making it one of the best family Halloween events in 2019.

This year, the new attractions at the Fright Fest in Six Flags Over Georgia include Piggy’s Blood Shed (a game inside a large slaughterhouse smelling of human flesh), Seeds of Samhain, Junkyard Dogs and a new end-of-the-world themed attraction called ‘Dismantled.’ Other than the haunted attractions, there are scare zones, shows, movies and thriller rides. Make sure to get a season’s pass to make most of this event at the Six Flags.

2) Florida – Halloween Horror Nights

Universal Studios never seems to disappoint! This year, they’re bringing you a whole fest of new mutants and monsters, designed to thrill, chill and scare the daylights out of anybody. With many theme movie screenings, haunted houses and circus events, Halloween Horror Nights is a must-attend event at Universal Studios in Orlando.
