National Aquarium Parking – Economical Parking Lots Near Harbour

national aquarium parking

The National Aquarium rests at the heart of Baltimore city. So this means its pretty much surrounded by the bulk of the city’s commercial complexes. Anticipate plenty of traffic block and other disruptions (on the I-95 and I-495, we saw around 4 accidents!).

Due to the tightly worn roadways around the aquarium, official aquarium parking is not available. Instead, it’s all pay-and-park with many parking centres within a half mile radius of the main building. The official national aquarium parking centres with discounts on the aquarium tickets are Lockwood Place and the LAZ Inner Harbour Garage.

Parking charges go upto $25 for 12 hours and early bird rebates (parking before 9 am) are available.

Tips on how to avoid rush and get a good spot at the National Aquarium parking garages

  • Arrive early. There are plenty of early bird discounts. Many lots of discounts for post-5 pm parking. You can park your car and explore the rest of the city and get into the aquarium the next day early morning.
  • You could also check out parking apps such as SpotHero for discounts.
  • Arrive in a water taxi. If you don’t want to pay the parking fare, take a water taxi trip to the nearest dock after parking your car at a free parking spot.
Bonus: See the best sights of Baltimore harbour from the water!
