Public Parking Near Niagara Falls

Niagara Falls parking areas are very easy to find. If you avoid the peak season, you can park right at the Niagara Falls State Park. It costs about $10 for 8 hours. That’s more than enough time to see the entire park.

The most accessible parking lot is the main one in front of the information centre, by Hard Rock Cafe. This lot gives you a one-stop access to the best souvenir collection at the falls, the information centre and the food court (However, I do not suggest this food court for lunch or dinner as it was sub-standard).

You can drive across the islands to the Cave of the Winds. Parking is available in plenty there. If walking, its a 20-25 minute walk from the main information centre.

What to do if the main Niagara Falls parking is filled up?

Niagara Falls parking areas often get crowded as the season begins in May. But it later eases out in September and October. You can head to public parking then.

Here’s a list of the Niagara Falls parking lots (on the New York side) for cars:

  • Prospect Point – GPS address: 332 Prospect St. Nearest attractions: main information centre and Maid of the Mist
  • Goat Island – GPS address: 24 Buffalo Avenue. Nearest attractions: Cave of the Winds and Top of the Falls
  • Near the Three Sisters Islands, east of the Goat Island – GPS address: 24 Buffalo Avenue

All buses and recreational vehicles should use the parking near the Three Sister Islands.

Arriving earlier in the day can help guarantee parking in the main marking lot.
